By meticulous measurement in a photo-editing program, I have determined I can use Mustang floorboards in my Falcon. They are 1/4 the price: ergo purism can get stuffed. Heresy? You're soaking in it.

Uhm, you didn't just realize that they are the SAME unibody?

Same rails and sills as far as I knew, but I had no way until just now to check that the length would be right, seat location, tunnel match, etc. A lot of that is subtly different. That being said, it's not different *enough*.
Observe:
I was worried somewhat because mine is a '63 and they made the body wider in '64, but that apparently matters bupkis.

All a Mustang is, is a two door Falcon.

...for which they altered the tunnel design, making it slightly wider (not enough to matter), and for which they dicked around with the footwell indents and seat support scheme for no apparent reason. Also, my Falcon is a generation before the one that got made into the Mustang, so even with part#s for the pans supposedly being the same I was suspicious.
I figure the reverse is true as well: all a Falcon Ranchero is, is a pickup Mustang.
